Equine Facilitated Wellbeing has shown to have a number of positive effects for a range of people from all walks of life.

Equine Facilitated Wellbeing is not only for those who are experienced or enjoy being around horses. Often for those children or adults  experiencing the following life challenges have shown to benefit significantly:

  • Abuse (physical or emotional)

  • ADHD

  • Bi-Polar

  • Depression

  • Anxiety

  • Recovery from substance abuse

  • PTSD

  • Eating disorders

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder

  • Dementia

  • Blindness

Alternatively, you may have lost your confidence with your own horse,

had an accident or just don’t feel you’re ready to get back into horses now you’re an adult.  Come and have the opportunity offered by our ponies for you to be present with them and experience life more fully.

Once you start working with the ponies in this safe and well-managed environment provided, this will allow you to experience being vulnerable.  With around 45 years’ experience with horses and ponies I can safely assist you through the many healing abilities of this therapy.

In communicating with an equine partner you can learn patience, attention, compassion, boundaries and responsibility, leading to a greater understanding of yourself and others.  The way a horse behaves is instinctive to their prey animal nature and when with you they give feedback about your emotional state.  This presents a wonderful opportunity for you to learn about self-reflection and practise internal regulation as well. You will achieve set tasks and begin to connect with the pony and feel a sense of accomplishment that is profound.
